MURRIETA, Riverside County — November 4, 2026. Two Murrieta City Council contests show early leads following the November 3 general election.
Preliminary numbers from the county
In District 2, Ron Holliday has 55.58% of the reported vote. Keelan McCullough follows at 25.56% and Joshua Barton at 18.86%. In District 5, Cindy Warren has 66.73% compared with 33.27% for Luiz Valdez Jr.
What these early results mean
These are separate district contests: voters in one district did not choose the representative in the other. A lead in the unofficial count is not a certification, and the county has additional ballots to process.
Riverside County reported that election-night counting had finished while an estimated 485,000 vote-by-mail ballots and 11,000 conditional-registration ballots remained to be counted countywide. Those countywide totals do not specify how many ballots are still outstanding in this particular contest. Check the registrar’s latest posting for changes before concluding who won or whether a measure passed.
